BPM Bid Writers help large services contractor with APSE Award submissions

BPM Bid Writers have recently completed a week long secondment to a national service and utilities maintenance contractor, supporting their team in writing four Award submission entries for company innovations and achievements. The achievements cited were for recycling, partnership, community and restructuring; initiatives that have all improved their performance for their clients. Each document was 2000 words long and needed to outline in detail the reasons for the initiative, challenges encountered, how they were overcome, the positive results and future goals for the project. BPM's bid writers assembled information on all of these initiatives from individual accounts, company reports and recent marketing information, and then evaluated and extracted relevant facts and figures to compose the submission into the strict 2000 word document, adding tables and charts where necessary. All four of these submissions were completed within the five days required and have recently been submitted by the client.

BPM QS's assist Manchester-based ground works firm with measurement and pricing of schools project

Following a successful meeting earlier this month, BPM Professional Services are to assist Chandos Civil Engineering Ltd with ongoing QS services for the refurbishment of Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College in Lancashire. During this time, BPM's QS will be visiting site on a weekly basis to measure the completed works and then produce interim valuations / applications for the main contractor, based on a re-measure contract. This will ensure the project is running to both the allotted timescale and budget. Updates on this project will follow in the forthcoming months.

QS team provide specialist services for Roofing Contractor

A returning customer of BPM, RCS Roofing, has contracted BPM to carry out a full re-measure of the new roof recently fitted on Liverpool Hope University, and to assist with final account preparation for the project. BPM have worked with RCS on various roofing projects throughout the North West including Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Manchester Academy, Bolton Sixth Form College and Blackpool Sixth Form College. Using their specialist knowledge of these projects, BPM carried out a full re-measure from the construction drawings and used the figures to compare with the original contract order, identifying areas of differences and providing our clients with a take-off model which can be updated when agreeing the final account. . By turning to BPM, RCS could relax in the knowledge that the work was being carried out by an experienced company who knew what was expected of them and was able to deliver accurate work both on time and in-budget.
